Joining forces to advance Eastern Germany as a hydrogen location
From regional networks through to national collaborations – the hydrogen economy continues to gain momentum. Various stakeholders, initiatives and networks are constantly advancing the development, use and distribution of hydrogen as a sustainable energy source.
Wasserstoffcluster Brandenburg
The Brandenburg Hydrogen Cluster is focussed on the future decarbonisation of the energy-intensive industry in the state of Brandenburg. The common goal of the partners is to connect the industrial production and consumption locations for climate-neutral hydrogen in Brandenburg together with their integration into the (eastern) German hydrogen infrastructure and also ensure connection to the future European hydrogen network. The Brandenburg Hydrogen Cluster is being coordinated by the Ministry for Economic Affairs, Labour and Energy of the state of Brandenburg (MWAE) and Wirtschaftsförderung Land Brandenburg GmbH (WFBB).
Hydrogen marketplace Berlin-Brandenburg
The digital hydrogen marketplace, initiated by the Ministry for Economic Affairs, Labour and Energy (MWAE) and the Senate Department for Economy, Energy and Businesses (SenWiEnBe), acts as a central platform for hydrogen supply and demand in Berlin-Brandenburg. Users have the opportunity to present projects, proposals and applications along the hydrogen value chain. In addition, the Brandenburg collaboration platform allows regional companies, municipalities, start-ups, scientific institutions and intermediaries to digitally showcase their expertise, projects and ideas.
