HH2E Thierbach plant
Production of green hydrogen in Central Germany
HH2E is a German green energy company. The newly developed HH2E plants convert a variable supply of renewable electricity into a constant flow of green hydrogen, heat and electricity.
HH2E plant in southern Leipzig
From 2026, HH2E will provide green hydrogen from Germany at competitive prices. This will be available around the clock and its production will relieve the strain on the electricity grids.
Central Germany boasts perfect conditions for the green hydrogen economy. Here, in the “Goldener Born” industrial and commercial centre, the Thierbach HH2E plant will reinvigorate a traditional energy location and act as a figurehead of the energy transition in southern Leipzig. Committed operators will join forces to reinforce Germany’s energy independence for a climate-neutral future.
The Thierbach HH2E project is located in the Borna region and is designed for an initial feed-in capacity of 100 MW by 2026. It can be scaled up to more than 1 GW by 2030.
“Since 2021 we have completely restructured our company, designed the plants, negotiated the supply of renewable energy and set up the distribution of green hydrogen. We look forward to continuing this progress together with our investors and partners.”
